E-CARE Benefits
Baptist Easley Hospital, through the Pastoral Counseling department, provides an Employee Assistance Program called E-CARE (Employee Care) so its employees and qualified family members can be intentional about seeking and practicing self-care. Family members qualify if they are covered under the employee’s medical insurance through Baptist Easley.

Consider using your E-CARE benefit if you or your family members are experiencing any of the following problems:

  • Persistent sadness
  • Anxiousness or over-activity
  • Loss of interest in favorite activities
  • Irritability
  • Major change in eating and/or sleeping patterns
  • Increased physical complaints
  • Low energy level
  • Poor concentration
  • Despondency
  • Increased stress

E-CARE provides care for employees to seek counseling for a number of issues.

Managing stress on the job such as:

  • Personality conflicts
  • Career guidance
  • Changes in the work environment
  • Dealing with chronic illness and work
  • Traumatic events
  • Death of a co-worker

Life transition adjustments such as:

  • Alcohol and drug abuse
  • Being victimized by crime
  • Grief and loss of a loved one
  • Separation and divorce
  • Evolving spiritual interests
  • Depression
  • Anxiety

Marriage and family concerns such as:

  • Parenting
  • Out-of-control teens
  • ADHD children
  • Couples counseling
  • Abuse
  • Blended families
  • Family counseling
  • Caring for elderly parents

Eligibility and Making an Appointment

Using the E-CARE Program is always voluntary. Any Baptist Easley Hospital employee or eligible family member may request an appointment. The first five appointments per benefit year are provided at no cost to the employee or eligible family member. After that, employees pay $40 or less co-pay depending on a sliding scale for each session.

All Baptist Easley Hospital employees are eligible to use E-CARE. For a family member to be eligible for an individual session, he/she must be covered by the employee’s medical insurance through Baptist Easley Hospital, otherwise they may only be seen through E-CARE in a couple or family session which includes the Baptist Easley Hospital employee.

Appointments are available Monday through Friday and are normally scheduled for 50 minutes. Appointments may be made by calling the numbers listed below. At the first appointment, employees and/or eligible family members will need to be prepared to provide the employee’s ID Badge (or a photocopy), the employee’s ID number, and a copy of the employee’s current medical insurance card.
